The Provincial Administration of Genoa through its Office for Employment Policies and Vocational Training, within the powers delegated to it by the Regional Administration of Liguria, manages its own funding, funding from the European Community, from the Ministry of Labor and from the Regional Administration of Liguria to plan and undertake, together with the institutions and the social partners, local actions for the development of employment services, employment promotion and vocational training whose beneficiaries are the unemployed, the employed, the disadvantaged, women and all those individuals who, in their working age, are actively looking for social and occupational inclusion. As ground work, the Province of Genoa has launched a financing scheme lasting approximately six months for study circles to test the reaction and impact of this idea. Also, among the innovative and still not much used solutions to promote the dissemination of education and skills updating thee are the individual education vouchers - which has long been used in Genova for various user targets. The Province has good experience in managing international projects, in particular Equal and Art. 6, Socrates (Grundtvig), Interreg, ecc. It has about 950 full time employees, 2 directly managed training centres and thousands of people trained through ESF- financed activities.

Studio Guglielma - Ricerca e Creazione Sociale, Verona, Italy GUGLIELMA social creation and research, Italy will plan and coordinate all the research activities of the project, training, where necessary, the international staff members who will make the interviews and the other research. GUGLIELMA is a limited liability co-operative established by women and oriented to the search for jobs and work practices hallmarked by sex difference and the practice of women relationships. Through a systemic approach consisting in the dynamic interaction of different professional skills GUGLIELMA offers advice and schemes to public and private
institutions: in social systems where public and private social institutions cooperate in policies for care, services for individuals and public services at large; in contexts where social quality plays a pivotal role in the creation or regeneration of situations in difficult or critical environments. In those environments GUGLIELMA comes into play, using methods and approaches typical of women research and work contexts, with 1. social research and planning; 2. advice and supervision for the development of services and new social enterprises; 3. education for social enterprising; 4. education for the creative management of conflicts; 5. counselling and education for self-management and cooperation.

Center for Undervisningsmidler - University College of South Denmark (Until January 1. 2007 the name was: Amtscentret For Undervisning, Aabenraa, Denmark), is a Centre for Educational Resources for Southern Jutland, Denmark. From this Centre about 260 institutions and about 6500 teachers/instructors are served. The staff counts 63 employees. Main activities: arrangement of courses, seminars, and conferences, pedagogical and technological advice relating to the use of IT in education. The Educational Resource Centres serve a broad range of schools and educational institutions from public and private schools to upper secondary schools, technical schools, commercial schools, and colleges of education as well as the remaining field of adult education.

Universidade de Évora - NÚCLEO MINERVA, Évora, Portugal The University of Évora, PT is a public university with expertise in the field of educational technology - particularly in ICT uses in Education and community-wide, educational and socio-cultural studies, adult education, teacher training and educational research, where gender issues have a significant presence. The University of Évora will be involved in the project through the Núcleo Minerva and Centre of Competence Nónio. This body of the
University has specific expertise in educational and social research and has been the project coordinator and partner in several European and other international projects, namely has participated in research projects like “OECD International studies in ICT and the Quality of Learning in Portugal”, “The Learning at School and in the Network”, which main issue is the technological literacy, “The Web@Classroom” and the DOLCETA – Development On-Line Consumer Education Tools for Adults. The Núcleo Minerva and The Competence Centre are regular partners of the European SchoolNet participating in relevant programmes in the field specially Netd@ys, Springdays, Ennis Schools, Safer Internet Program and other initiatives. The University is in contact with bodies that can contribute for the objectives of CIAO WOMEN project, namely the
National Body for Women Rights, the Ministry of Education and others. Regarding dissemination issues, the University can also request collaboration from the bodies and networks all over Europe: SUSTAIN initiatives (Socrates database dissemination) and the BECTA and TeacherNet in the UK and others. At the National level The University of Évora can request collaboration from public institutions and social communications bodies.

Znanie Association - Sofia, Bulgaria is a non - profit organisation with priorities in training and education. It is an association of teachers, lecturers, University tutors, and various specialists, aiming to create opportunities for lifelong learning and continuous training for everybody, regardless of the personal background, ethnic, social or religious origin. It employs 4 full time and 20 part time staff. Main priorities: 1) Education and Training: vocational training of low qualified workers and unemployed –
new qualifications, upskilling and apprenticeship; training for starting own business; training programs and vocational guidance for physically disabled, people at risk, minorities; training and qualification of administrative and managerial staff; training in using computer technologies in management and administration for small firms; foreign languages and computers for children and adults 2) Analysis and Consulting Services: training need and labour market analysis in the fields of new qualifications and small business; Human resource management~; analysis and consulting of social systems; consulting, training need analysis and vocational guidance of low skilled, unemployed and people with special needs 3) Teacher Training: “train the trainer” programs, special methodology for vocational training of adults, and people with special training needs; developing and publishing training materials Znanie Association and its departments offer more than 150 specialised courses for new and improved vocational qualification, about 50 courses for foreign languages and computer competences, and a wide range of consulting services. Its Center for Vocational Training is officially licensed by the National Agency for Vocational Education and Training in Bulgaria as vocational training provider in 37 professions. Znanie Association works in close collaboration with the local social partners – the National Agency for Vocational Education and Training, the National Employment
Service, and the regional labour offices, as well as with a great number of SMEs. The Association is taking part in various international projects both as a partner and promoter under Phare, Leonardo da Vinci, Socrates and Culture 2000 projects and expertise in developing and delivering teaching programs and materials for all aspects of adult education and training. Main target groups: people with low qualification, long-time unemployed, young graduates, mothers after baby-care, people with disabilities, minorities, socially excluded people, administrative and managerial staff of educational institutions, SMEs, NGOs.
